STORRS, CT – The UConn men's and women's track & field program will begin their quest for a dual Indoor / Outdoor BIG EAST Championship sweep for the fifth-straight season on Thursday as they host the 2026 BIG EAST Outdoor Track and Field Championship presented by Jeep on the George J. Sherman Family Sports Complex in Storrs.
The three-day event will get underway on Thursday afternoon with the start of the heptathlon and decathlon events and run through Saturday afternoon. UConn is the host site for the second-straight season and the seventh time in league history.
Broadcast coverage will be available on ESPN+ on Friday, and Saturday. For live event results click here
A dual win will send this year's senior class off undefeated over their UConn careers and give the Huskies their 16th-straight conference championship under head coach Beth Alford-Sullivan.
The UConn men are out to make history, looking for their sixth-straight outdoor championship which would set the BIG EAST record for consecutive titles. The Huskies have won all five BIG EAST outdoor titles since returning to the conference in 2020-21.
They are also in search of the program's 10th BIG EAST Outdoor title all-time (2025, 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021, 2013, 2011, 2002, 1982).
On the women's side, the Huskies are looking for their fifth-straight outdoor championship as well as a seventh BIG EAST Outdoor title all-time (2025, 2024, 2023, 2022, 1995, 1986). Should the Huskies win, they would match the BIG EAST record of five-straight set by Louisville (2008-2012).
