BSB BIG EAST Favorites, Studley & Quigley Preseason Award Winners

NEW YORK - The UConn baseball team has been selected as the BIG EAST favorites entering the 2024 season as announced by the BIG EAST Conference on Tuesday morning.
The Huskies received six first place votes and totaled 48 points to lead the pack.
Outfielder Jake Studley was named BIG EAST Preseason Player of the Year and Stephen Quigley was voted as the BIG EAST Preseason Pitcher of the Year.
Both Studley and Quigley received All-BIG EAST First Team honors in their first season in Storrs last season. The Wheaton College transfers helped lead the Huskies to a third-straight BIG EAST regular season title and a fifth consecutive NCAA Tournament
Lefthander and team captain Garrett Coe also landed on the Preseason All-BIG EAST team. Â
The 2024 college baseball season begins on Friday, February 16 at 6 p.m. against USF in Tampa, Fla.Â
