No. 4 Huskies Take on Georgetown Saturday

STORRS, Conn. – The fourth-ranked UConn women's basketball (21-4, 13-1 BIG EAST) team travels to Washington, D.C., to face Georgetown (12-12, 5-10) Saturday at 5 p.m. The game will air on SNY and the UConn Sports Network (97-9 ESPN).
The teams will face off in the Entertainment & Sports Arena, home to the Washington Mystics.
UConn fell to Marquette, 59-52, in the Huskies' first BIG EAST loss of the season on Wednesday. Along with a loss to No. 1 South Carolina last Sunday, the Huskies have dropped back-to-back games for the first time since March 7 and 17, 1993. UConn went 1,044 games without back-to-back losses. Graduate student Dorka Juhász led UConn with 15 points and 11 rebounds in the game.
UConn is 50-6 all-time vs. Georgetown. The Huskies have won the last 33 games in the series. The teams last faced off in Hartford on Jan. 15, a 65-50 win for UConn. Junior Aaliyah Edwards led the Huskies with 17 points and 11 rebounds.
Georgetown is coming off an 82-53 loss to Villanova on Wednesday. This season, Kelsey Ransom leads the Hoyas with 13.4 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. Head coach James Howard is in his sixth season at Georgetown.
