WTEN Puts Up Strong Results at UConn Invite

STORRS, Conn. - The University of Connecticut women's tennis team continued strong play in the fall season at the UConn Invite this weekend at the UConn Tennis Courts.
In a blind duals match format, the Huskies won most of their matches as they recorded a 31-8 overall singles and doubles record against Bryant, Sacred Heart, and Wesleyan. After two days, UConn finished going 26-4 in both singles and doubles against Bryant and Sacred Heart.
Individually, all UConn players would secure wins in the three-day invitational. Junior Olivia Wright had a strong weekend, carrying a 3-0 singles record and winning in straight sets at the first singles position. Wright also had a 2-1 doubles record at the first doubles position with her partner, Victoria Matos.
Also, posting a 3-0 singles record and winning in straight sets would be Maria Constantinou and Cameron Didion.
The Huskies next compete at the West Point Invite for three days on Sep. 22-24 in West Point, N.Y.
