Huskies Set for BIG EAST Tournament Battle vs. Georgetown

STORRS, Conn. - The UConn women's tennis team is set for BIG EAST Tournament action as they are set to face off against Georgetown in the quarterfinals of the tournament. Georgetown entered the tournament as the no.4 seed while UConn is the no.5 overall seed.
These two teams faced off recently, with Georgetown taking down the Huskies in a contested 4-3 battle. The Hoyas started the match strong taking wins in no.2 and no.3 doubles while the Huskies started the single matches strong with wins in no.1, no.2 and no.4 singles.
Last season the Huskies won their opening match vs. Seton Hall in the BIG EAST Tournament before falling to Villanova by a final of 4-3.
