MBB Announces Venue Splits, Tip Times and Television

STORRS โย The UConn men's basketball team and the BIG EAST have announced home venue splits, tip times and television designations for the upcoming 2023-24 season. The Huskies will play eight games at Gampel Pavilion in Storrs and eight at the XL Center in Hartford.ย ย
Connecticut will have a program-record seven regular season broadcast network exposures in 2023-24, with up to six games airing on FOX and another on CBS.ย ย
The Gampel slate kicks off with the season opener on Nov. 6 as UConn welcomes Northern Arizona for a 6:30 p.m. tip. The Huskies will unveil the 2023 National Championship banner in a pregame ceremony. The next three home games for the Huskies will take place at the XL Center with Stonehill (Nov. 11), Mississippi Valley State (Nov. 14) and Manhattan (Nov. 24) all visiting Hartford.ย ย
UConn returns to Gampel for its next two home games, hosting New Hampshire (Nov. 27) and Arkansas Pine-Bluff (Dec. 9) in Storrs. The XL Center will be the site of the first league home game when a revamped St. John's squad under first-year Hall of Fame head coach Rick Pitino visits for a primetime 8 p.m. showdown on FOX on Dec. 23.ย ย
Gampel will see its first BIG EAST action on Jan. 2 when DePaul visits, then after a pair of road games UConn returns to the XL Center to host Georgetown on Jan. 14 on FOX. The match-up with the Hoyas and new head coach Ed Cooley will be either at 12 p.m. or 4:30 p.m. depending on the NFL Playoff schedule.ย ย
The Huskies are back at Gampel on Jan. 17 to welcome a Creighton squad coming off an Elite Eight finish a season ago, then play host to a Sweet 16 team from last season in Xavier at the XL Center on Jan. 28. Local rival Providence visits Gampel on Jan. 31 at 8:30 p.m. before action shifts back to the XL Center for Butler on Feb. 6.ย ย
The XL Center slate closes with a bang on Feb. 17 when UConn hosts defending BIG EAST regular season and tournament champion Marquette at 3 p.m. on FOX.ย ย Connecticut's final two home games will take place on campus in Storrs, with Villanova visiting on Feb. 24 for an 8 p.m. showdown on FOX before Seton Hall travels to Gampel for a March 3 contest at noon on CBS.ย
