No. 8 Huskies Face Marquette Tuesday

STORRS, Conn. – The eighth-ranked UConn women's basketball team (16-3, 8-0 BIG EAST) takes on Marquette (15-3, 4-3) on Tuesday in Milwaukee at 7 p.m. ET. The game will air on SNY and the UConn Sports Network (FOX Sports 97.9).

The Huskies' Jan. 27 game vs. No. 15 Notre Dame is a WHITE OUT! All fans coming to the game are encouraged to wear WHITE. The game will air on FOX at 8 p.m. as part of FOX Primetime Hoops. UConn will honor the 2003, '04, '13 and '14 National Championship teams at the game.
Freshman Ashlynn Shade scored 21 points and had a personal-best seven rebounds to lead UConn past DePaul, 88-51, last Saturday. Redshirt junior Paige Bueckers had 20 points, five rebounds, five assists and four steals. UConn went 23-for-24 from the free-throw line. Senior Aaliyah Edwards was a perfect 10-for-10.
UConn is 18-1 all-time vs. Marquette. In the first matchup of the season on Dec. 31, Bueckers scored 25 points and Edwards had 19 points and 12 assists to lead UConn past Marquette, 95-64.
UConn freshman KK Arnold is from Germantown, Wis., which is about 22 miles north of Marquette.
Marquette fell at Villanova, 66-64, last Wednesday. This season, Liza Karlen leads Marquette with 17.5 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. Head coach Megan Duffy is in her fifth season at Marquette.
