UConn Athletics Continues Collaboration With Team IMPACT

STORRS, Conn.- Last Saturday, October 5th, UConn Athletics collaborated with Team IMPACT (TI) during the 'Crucial Catch' Cancer Awareness football game against Temple University at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, CT.

To kick off the competing collegiate athletic year, Team IMPACT matches and families were recognized during the game, accompanied by a joint video between Temple and UConn TI Fellowship representatives. The recognition consisted of an overview of Team IMPACT and acknowledgment and applause for the TI matches in attendance. Additionally, this recognition included a tribute to the late AJ Salisbury, a beloved friend and teammate to the UConn Baseball program. The event established a time for connection, celebration, and awareness of the expanding mutually beneficial relationship between UConn Athletics and Team IMPACT, as well as UConn Athletics' continued investment in Team IMPACT.

Additionally, a Team IMPACT was set up in the 'Fan Fest' area of Rentschler Field. This generated excitement and spread the word about Team IMPACT. Namely, through a 'spinning prize wheel' in which participating fans could win TI x UConn. Coupled with brand awareness initiatives, UConn Athletics publicized Team IMPACT's upcoming All In 5k, which will take place on October 20th. All those who registered would be entered to win a one-of-a-kind swag bag filled with more TI x UConn collaboration items. Looking ahead, UConn Athletics is excited to execute a similar event at the UConn Volleyball game on October 18th against Villanova.

UConn Football returns to action next Saturday, October 19th, against Wake Forest at 12pm in East Hartford.
