Huskies Head to West Point to Face St. Bonaventure and Army

STORRS, Conn. - The University of Connecticut women's tennis team is set for two non-conference matchups against St. Bonaventure on Friday, Feb. 2 and Army West Point on Saturday, Feb. 3 in West Point, N.Y. at Lichtenberg Tennis Center.
The Huskies are now 2-0 overall after playing both matches at their home indoor courts at Magic Lincer Tennis Club. Last time out, UConn took the 6-1 win over Fairfield on Wednesday, Jan. 31. Leading the way for UConn so far this season has been the play from the number one and two singles spots as junior Olivia Wright is 4-0 in first singles and first doubles and junior Maria Constantinou is also 4-0 so far this season at second singles and second doubles.
Scouting St. Bonaventure
Entering the matchup, the Bonnies are 1-3 in the 2023-24 season. Last time out, St. Bonaventure fell to Syracuse 7-0 in Syracuse, N.Y., on Saturday Jan. 27. Leading the way is senior Anastasia Gubanova with a 6-3 singles tournament record and a 2-1 singles dual record playing at the first and second singles positions.
UConn has not faced St. Bonaventure head-to-head ever.
Scouting Army West Point
Entering the matchup, the Black Knights are 3-2 overall this season. Last time out, Army won its last three matches with its most recent victory against Rider at home on Sunday, Jan. 28. Last match junior Paige Herremans went 2-0 on the day taking a 6-2, 6-0 win at third singles and then securing a 6-1 win with partner Cooper Jackson.
UConn faced Army last season away in West Point, N.Y., as the Huskies fell 7-0, respectively. Out of the 12 matchups facing Army all-time, UConn has a record of 3-9, respectively.
