Natalia Surdej Awarded Women's Big East Field Athlete of the Week

STORRS, Conn. - The BIG EAST Conference announced junior Natalia Surdej as the BIG EAST Women's Field Athlete of the Week after a strong showing at the Crimson Elite on Friday, Feb. 2.

In the weight throw, Surdej threw for a first-place mark of 19.25m. That mark places her fourth all-time at UConn including the second-best mark in the conference and the fourth best in the northeast region.

Surdej next competes in the four-meet weekend up ahead this weekend at the Valentine Invite, BC Invitational, Yale Invite, and the Tyson Invite.
