HookC Looks to Snap Skid at No. 23 Auburn

AUBURN, Ala. - The UConn baseball team (2-4) travels to SEC country this weekend for a three-game series at No. 23 Auburn beginning on Friday, March 1 at 7:02 p.m. ET. Saturday and Sunday's games are scheduled for 1:02 p.m. first pitch.
The Huskies are in the midst of a four-game losing streak, their longest losing streak since 2021, after getting swept at the University of California last weekend.
UConn visits Plainsman Park for the first time in program history and square off against the Tigers for just the second time all-time. The first meeting, a 7-3 Auburn victory, was played in Port Charlotte, Fla. in the 2014 Snowbird Classic.
The three-game series against an SEC opponent is the first for UConn since playing in Gainesville against Florida during the 2014 season.
Senior Korey Morton is coming off a career weekend in Berkeley that featured his first career five-hit game. A 5-5 day that included a three-run homer and RBI single during game two of the series.
The Norwalk, Conn. native finished 9-15 (.600) with five runs scored, a double, homer and four RBI.
Auburn enters the weekend ranked No. 23 in the latest D1Baseball.com poll and is 7-1 on the year. The Tigers have a ranked victory against No. 18 Iowa that came last weekend in Jacksonville.
Auburn hosted a regional last season and was a College World series participant in 2022.
