Cross Country Toes the Line at Princeton Fall Classic

STORRS, Conn. – UConn women's cross country will compete at the Princeton Fall Classic in Princeton, New Jersey on Friday, October 17th. The Huskies will toe the line at 10:30 am at the Meadows Campus.
UConn will race against Appalachian State, Boise State, Boston University, Buffalo, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, George Washington, La Salle, Lehigh, Maryland, Monmouth, Penn, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Princeton, Richmond, Rider, Rutgers, Syracuse, Temple, UMass Lowell, Utah Valley, William & Mary, and Yale.
The Huskies put together a strong team effort last time out at the Paul Short Run on October 3rd, finishing sixth as a team in a loaded field. UConn benefited from a combination of newcomers and veteran leadership. Freshman Brooke Strauss finished 24th overall at 20:22.4. and Sascha Letica finished 45th with a time of 20:47.5. Senior captain Chloe Trudel was the second-fastest finisher for the Huskies, taking 33rd at 20:30.1. Junior Malin Rahm took 64th at 20:58.4 and senior Loghan Hughes finished in 75th at 21:05.9. UConn comes into the weekend ranked fourth in the Northeast Region USTFCCCA Rankings.
The Huskies last competed at Princeton in 2019, taking fourth as a team with 118 points.
