Bradley Sawka Named 2025 Dick Tettelbach Player of the Year

STORRS, CT - UConn men's golf junior Bradley Sawka (Ellington, CT) was named the 2025 DIck Tettelbach Player of the Year this week after competing at the 20th Tournament of Champions hosted by Tumble Brook Country Club.
Sawka (Ellington Ridge CC) secured 2025 Dick Tettelbach Player of the Year honors by finishing in a tie for seventh (+3) and finishing with 1,001.33 points in the standings. He was one stroke better than Adam Friedman (Great River GC), who finished 4-over in a tie for 10th. Friedman would finish in second place just 49.49 points behind. Sawka teed it up at Tumble Brook CC one day after earning co-medalist honors at the UConn Invitational.
In the Connecticut State Golf Association season, Sawka competed in eight tournaments and took home three wins (CC of Waterbury, Indian Hill One Day, Ellington Ridge One Day). In addition, he finished fourth at the 91st Connecticut Open in July and was the runner-up at the 123rd Connecticut Amateur Presented by Middlesex Health back in June.
