Kutlu Named BIG EAST Setter of the Week

STORRS, Conn.— Graduate student Doga Kutlu (Ankara, Turkey) has been named BIG EAST Setter of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.

Kutlu conducted the UConn attack in a 2-0 weekend, as the Huskies took down Seton Hall and St. John's in Storrs. In the win over the Pirates, Kutlu had 41 assists and 14 digs, adding four kills as well. Kutlu starred in the win over the Red Storm on Saturday, setting a new UConn career-high with 56 assists, adding 16 digs in the effort as well. Kutlu is currently second in the conference in assists, dishing out 9.80 assists per set.

The Huskies are back in action on Friday, October 10^th, in Cincinnati against Xavier.
