COLLEGE PARK, Md. – No. 13 UConn men's soccer fell to No. 4 Maryland in the Round of 16 on Saturday afternoon at Ludwig Field. UConn finishes the 2025 season with a 12-5-4 overall record.

The first half began with both teams vying for control, but it was Maryland who took the lead with the game's opening goal in the 27^th minute off a rebound in front of goal, giving the Terps a 1-0 lead.

Maryland extended their lead in the 38^th minute with a shot from outside the box, putting the Huskies down, 2-0.

The first half ended with Maryland taking a two-goal advantage into the break. Shots favored the Terps in the first half, 11-1.

UConn came out the halftime break strong, recording three shots, two being on goal in the first ten minutes of the half.

UConn's comeback hopes were altered in the 64^th minute as Austin Brummett was shown a red card, putting the Huskies down to ten men for the remainder of the match.

Maryland sealed their victory with a goal in the 88^th minute, making it 3-0.
