Beran and Davis Receive IWLCA All-Region Honors

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass.- Two members of the UConn women's lacrosse team earned IWLCA DI All-Northeast Region Honors, the organization announced Thursday.
Sophomore Abby Beran (Wading River, N.Y.) represents the Huskies on the First Team, while redshirt junior Rayea Davis (Henrietta, N.Y.) earned Second Team honors. Beran is the first Husky to be named to the First Team since Sydney Watson and Landyn White in 2021.
The IWLCA has honored 128 student-athletes in Division I with a selection to one of the All-Region teams for 2025. These student-athletes are now eligible to be named to a national IWLCA All-American team. The IWLCA will announce the 2025 All-American teams on May 24.
Beran receives First Team All-Northeast Region honors after a decorated sophomore season. The sophomore defender from Wading River, New York was named the 2025 BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year, was a unanimous selection on the all-BIG EAST First Team, and received BIG EAST All-Tournament Honors.  Beran's 2025 season saw her finish sixth all time in single-season program history in caused turnovers (33) and fourth all-time in single season ground balls (53). Beran led the BIG EAST and ranked 21st nationally in caused turnovers per game (1.94) and finished the season at the top of the conference and 12th nationally in ground balls per game (3.12).
Davis earns Second Team All-Northeast Region honors following a standout 2025 campaign. The redshirt junior attacker led the Huskies in goals (48) and points (71) on the season. Davis finished second in the BIG EAST in points (4.38) and fifth in goals per game (2.94). Davis scored a career-high six goals on February 12th against Fairfield and tallied a team season-high and career-high nine points at Hofstra on March 29th. Davis scored her 100th career goal against Yale on March 12th. Davis' 120 goals rank 12th in UConn progam history.
