STORRS, Conn. - UConn Head swimming coach Chris Maiello announced the addition of Nicole Monanian to his coaching staff. Monanian will join the Huskies as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. Â Â
"I want to thank Coach Maiello and the Athletic Department for this opportunity," said Monanian. "It is apparent that UConn is investing in the Swimming and Diving program and continuing to strive to give the best to the student-athletes. The excitement that surrounded Coach Maiello and the support staff was palpable from the minute I stepped foot on campus. I am thrilled to be able to join the program and continue the success that is UConn Swimming and Diving."Â
"We are excited to welcome Nicole to the Husky Swimming and Diving Family," said Coach Maiello. "Coach Monanian brings a wealth of success to UConn from her stops at Purdue and Northern. We expect her to have an immediate and positive impact on our student-athletes and recruiting. Â Coach Nicole's energy, passion and coaching and recruiting acumen are just what our program was looking for in our next coach. We are fortunate to have her and can't wait to get started this upcoming season."Â
