Huskies Build Upon Lead Heading Into Final Round

UConn Invitational Day Two Results
HAMPDEN, MA – The UConn men's golf team built upon their day one lead thanks to a five-under 283 on Monday at the UConn Invitational at GreatHorse. The Huskies will carry a 10-stroke lead into Tuesday's final round as they look to close out a win.
UConn top-three golfers on Monday were all under par led by junior Bradley Sawka (Ellington, CT) who tied for the low round of the day and tournament so far with a five-under 67.
Sawka is tied for second place after shooting 138 over the two rounds (71-67). He is a stroke behind Boston College's Markus Lim who also fired a 67 on Monday. Lim sits at 137 (70-67) at the top of the leaderboard.
UConn senior Colin Spencer (Mashpee, MA), playing as an individual for the Huskies, is tied with Sawka for second place with a 138 after shooting a 67 on Monday. Senior Connor Goode (Glastonbury, CT) is tied for sixth place in the field, firing a one-under 71 on Monday to match his 71 on Sunday.
Freshman Matthew Oliveira (Dartmouth, MA) is tied for 10th playing as an individual with a two-day score of 144 (71-73). Sophomore Kai-Jun Huang (Taipei, Tawain) was under par on as well on Monday, shooting 71 and is tied for 15th in the field at 145 (74-71).
UConn will head into the final 18 holes on Tuesday at five-under par (571), 10 strokes in front of Boston College in second place (581) and 12 strokes up on Villanova in third (583). The final round will get underway Tuesday morning at 8 am.
