Softball Adds to Class of 2030

STORRS, Conn. – UConn softball head coach Laura Valentino has announced the addition of Emma Hartung to the class of 2030 on Friday afternoon.
Emma Hartung (Orlando, Fla.)
Hartung, a catcher/utility comes to UConn from Trinity Preparatory School in Winter Park, Florida. She spent two years at the Cannon School in Concord, North Carolina before finishing out her 10th, 11th, and 12th grade seasons at Trinity Prep. In her 8th grade season at the Cannon School under head coach Kierstan Maves, Hartung received three player of the game awards, while helping her varsity team finish as the runner-up in the State Championship. In her 9th grade season at Cannon, she helped lead her team to a State Championship, earning five player of the game awards. In her time at Trinity Prep, Hartung earned All-State honors by the Florida Athletics Coaches Association in her sophomore and junior seasons. She's also received All-Area Honors as well as being an Honor Roll student under head coach Dee Starling.
