TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Women's cross country finished 16th at the Pre-National Invitational on Friday morning at the Lavern Gibson Cross Country Course.
Sascha Letica led the Huskies with a time of 20:23.4, followed by Brooke Strauss (20:38.7), Allison Wasson (20:53.9), Malin Rahm (21:02.8) and Hayley Martin (21:13.5). Claire Paci finished in 21:29.8, followed by Loghan Hughes (21:52.0) and Courtney Krawiecki (22:11.5).
"Sascha ran brilliantly after battling a cold all week. It was a very tough meet, and our women responded really well," said Head Coach Beth Alford-Sullivan.
Up next, the Huskies will head to Richmond, Virginia, for the BIG EAST Championships on Oct. 30. UConn placed fourth at last year's championship, led by Letica, who earned second team All-BIG EAST honors with a time of 20:25.9.
