Jankovic Named BIG EAST Men's Field Athlete of the Week

STORRS, Conn.- UConn junior Dar Jankovic has been named BIG EAST Men's Field Athlete of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday.

Jankovic won the heptathlon at the Harvard Invitational last weekend, claiming the top spot with 5,061 points. Jankovic kicked off the 60m with a time of 7.44, claiming 11^th place. Jankovic finished third in the long jump at 6.46m and second in the shot put at 12.62m. The junior won the high jump at 2.05m and finished 10^th in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.90. Jankovic closed the weekend with a win in the pole vault at 4.30m and a seventh-place finish in the 1000m at 2:58.68.

The Huskies are back in action this weekend at the Sykes & Sabock Challenge hosted by Penn State on Saturday, February 7^th.
