Softball Announces Schedule Change to 2026 Opening Weekend

STORRS, Conn. - Due to recent winter storms impacting Elon, North Carolina, the Elon Softball Classic, originally scheduled as UConn's season-opening tournament, has been cancelled. The Huskies will now begin their 2026 season at the JoAnne Graf Classic, hosted by Florida State University, from February 5-8.

UConn will open the 2026 season on Thursday, February 5 against Samford. First pitch is set for 3:30pm.

The Huskies will continue their weekend slate on Friday, February 6 versus Marshall, beginning at 10:00am. UConn will then play Iowa on Saturday, February 7 at 12:30pm.

The Huskies will close out the weekend on Sunday, February 8 against the host school, No. 7 Florida State, beginning at 9:00am.
