STORRS, Conn. – The UConn men's soccer team cruised to a 6-1 victory over Fisher College on Sunday at Joseph J. Morrone Stadium. The Huskies struck twice in the first half before adding four more goals after halftime to secure their third consecutive win and improve to 3-3 overall this season.

UConn took control early in the game with junior forward Evan Pickering finding the back of the net in the 9^th minute, giving the Huskies a 1-0 lead. The goal marks Pickering's first of the season.

UConn extended the lead in the 25^th minute when Lucas DePinho netted his second goal of the season off assists from Aidan Sheppela and Steve Delacour, the first of Delacour's career.

The Huskies took the 2-0 lead into halftime and held a 7-2 advantage in shots.

UConn carried its offensive momentum into the second half as junior midfielder Jorge Sandoval scored his first goal in a UConn uniform in the 51^st minute, pushing the Huskies lead to 3-0.

Freshman forward Justin Hubbard stretched UConn's lead to 4-0 in the 71^st minute with his first career goal. Hubbard finished the match with a career high four points, adding two assists to his goal for his first career multi-point performance.

Four minutes later, in the 75^th minute, junior midfielder Aidan Sheppela found the back of the net for his first goal in a UConn uniform to make it 5-0. Sheppela added two assists to finish with a career high four points.

Alonso Maruri scored the lone goal of the match for Fisher College in the 80^th minute, bringing the score to 5-1.

UConn responded just four minutes later with Pickering netting his second goal of the game in the 84^th minute, to make it 6-1. The brace marks Pickering's first career multi-goal game.

Pickering scored twice and led UConn with five shots. Sheppela finished with a goal and two assists, putting both of his shots on frame. Hubbard added a goal and two assists off the bench. Lucas DePinho scored the game-winning goal on one of his two shots. Mateo DePinho and Yotaro Furutani each recorded a pair of assists.
