While at UConn: In his fourth season with the UConn program after sitting out the 2019-20 season as an academic redshirt and seeing action in 2020-21 and 2021-22... Has appeared in 13 games for the Huskies, averaging 1.2 points, 1.1 rebounds… Was allowed to practice with the team during 2019-20 season... Has worked to improve his game throughout the spring, summer and fall, in hopes of cracking the frontcourt rotation... Has a reputation as a strong offensive rebounder, with a solid outside shot.
As a Redshirt Sophomore in 2021-22: Appeared in eight games, including three BIG EAST contests, averaging 1.3 points, 1.1 rebounds and shooting .667 from the foul line in just over 28 minutes of playing time… Had career-highs of 6 points and 4 rebounds against LIU (11/17/21), in just over 6 minutes of playing time… Saw BIG EAST action against Butler, Georgetown and in the BIG EAST Tournament vs. Seton Hall.
As a Redshirt Freshman in 2020-21: Saw action in five games, including the opening round of the BIG EAST Tournament against DePaul... Played 12 minutes during the season, scoring 5 points, grabbing 5 rebounds and hitting 2-of-3 shots overall... Played 7:38 against DePaul in quarterfinals of BIG EAST Tournament, scoring 2 points and grabbing 2 rebounds in 94-60 victory.
Before College: Was a late commit after reclassifying to 2019... Was expected to attend Brewster Academy for a postgraduate year in 2019-20, but changed his mind after visit to UConn and reclassified to verbally commit on Aug. 6... Came to UConn after two years at The MacDuffie School (Granby, Mass.), playing under Coach Jacque Rivera and as a teammate of former UConn star James Bouknight... Before MacDuffie, played two years at Bishop Loughlin Memorial (Brooklyn, N.Y.) under Coach Ed Gonzalez... Played on the AAU circuit for PSA Cardinals, under Coach Munch Williams, averaging 10.8 points and 8.1 rebounds in 18 games...Had a breakout week at the prestigious Peach Jam event, averaging 13 points and 13 rebounds per game against top AAU competition... Top 130 recruit.
