Luke Carrezola, who was a four-year letterwinner from 2014-17, rejoined the UConn football team as a defensive graduate assistant in 2019. Carrezola works primarily with the defensive line and linebackers.
Prior to rejoining the staff Carrezola played defensive end and outside linebacker in the AAF for the Salt Lake Stallions. The Salt Lake Stallions were coached by College Football Hall of Fame inductee Dennis Erickson. Coming out of college Carrezola participated in the Kansas City Chiefs and Washington Redskins rookie minicamps.
During his time at UConn, he was a three year starter accumulating 37 career total starts and was named to the 2017 Football Leadership Council his senior year. Carrezola led the 2016 and 2015 team in tackles for loss while helping lead the Huskies to the St. Petersburg Bowl in 2015.
Carrezola graduated UConn with a bachelor’s degree in economics.
