Before UConn: Finished his high school career playing for Steve Hale at Medina Valley High School in Castroville, Texas… Was a key member of an offensive line that helped Medina average 139.5 rushing yards per game. In addition helped anchor an offensive line that created 17 rushing touchdowns, and protected quarterbacks who threw for 2,376 yards and 22 touchdowns… In 2017 attended Tyler Junior College where Barboza was a part of an offensive line that helped the offense average 30.3 points per game, 375.4 yards of total offense per game and 183.1 rushing yards per game… As a redshirt junior Barboza helped lead an offensive line that paved the way for a rushing attack that accumulated over 1,000 yards and 16 touchdowns… Awarded Conference USA Commissioner's honor roll in 2021.
