2019-20 (Freshman Season): Played in all 34 games during his freshman season at UConn…Finished the year with 11 points coming on two goals and nine assists…Had 20 blocked shots…Scored his first collegiate goal and added an assist in a home loss to RPI (Oct. 12)…Had the game-winning goal, his first power play goal, in a 4-3 win over Miami at home (Nov. 30)…Had a pair of assists, a career-high, in a 3-3 tie at home against No. 12 Providence (Nov. 22).
In the NHL Draft: Drafted in the 2nd round (50th overall) by the Calgary Flames in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft.
Before UConn: Comes to UConn after playing last season in the USHL with the Sioux Falls Stampede, the 2019 Clark Cup champions…He played in 34 games and had four assists…In international play last November, he helped lead Team Russia to its fourth gold medal in the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in New Brunswick, Canada, a six-game showcase…In addition to earning a medal he was named to the WHC All-Star team…He also played for Russia's U16 team in 2017-18…He attended Kudrovo School in Saint Petersburg.
