Tripp Doherty is in his fourth season at UConn, hired as the Director of Recruiting/Video on April 9, 2018, after serving as a graduate assistant on Coach Dan Hurley staff at Rhode Island in 2017-18.
At UConn, Doherty oversees film production for the team, recruiting, the film exchange with opponents and breakdown of film for the purpose of scouting opponents as well as evaluation of the Huskies. He works closely with the coaching staff as well as with the director of operations to plan day-to-day practice sessions and maintain a recruiting database.
Originally from Andover, Mass., Doherty earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Fairfield University in 2014. He then served as an administrative volunteer at Harvard for two years before his promotion to Video Coordinator for the Harvard men’s basketball program in 2016-17. He then moved to his position at Rhode Island in 2017-18 before joining Coach Hurley at UConn.
