A two-time UConn graduate, Carley Mooney begins her 11th season on the UConn women's basketball staff in 2025-26. Previously the Assistant Director of Women's Basketball Administration and Director of Women's Basketball Recruiting Operations and Student-Athlete Development, Mooney was elevated to General Manager of the women's basketball program in September 2025.
Mooney earned her Master’s Degree in Sport Management from the Neag School of Education in May 2020. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in 2015, when she was named the outstanding female graduate for the School of Education and served as the school’s commencement speaker.
Mooney was a four-year manager for the women's basketball team as an undergraduate student.
Mooney is involved with multiple aspects of the team's operations, including recruiting and community outreach. She is originally from Killingworth, Conn.
