Chris Jones enters his seventh year working as Assistant Director of Athletic Communications/Director of Baseball and Women's Soccer Operation at UConn and ninth year working in the Athletic Communications Office. He serves as the primary media contact for baseball and women's soccer. In addition to his role in sports information, he is in his sixth season as Director of Baseball Operations and third full season as Director of Women's Soccer Operations. Jones will continue calling UConn baseball games on MIXLR and ESPN+/UConn+ with the 2026 season being his 17th season broadcasting the Huskies with over 800 HookC games called.

Prior to returning to UConn, he held a broadcaster position for the Bourne Braves of the Cape Cod Baseball League during the 2015 season, as well as, professionally with the Connecticut Tigers, Single-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers in 2016.

Jones, a 2014 UConn graduate, worked as sports director at WHUS for three years (2011-14) and has been announcing UConn baseball games since the 2010 season. He also worked as an event production intern at ESPN during the fall semester of 2013.

Originally from Crystal Lake, Ill., Jones grew up in Simsbury, Conn. and graduated from Simsbury High School. He completed his first marathon in 2020. He currently resides in Manchester, Conn.
