2012-13: Competed as a member of the varsity eight; finished the season in four seat. In the fall, competed in three seat of the second varsity eight that placed second at the Head of the Riverfront, three seat in the Championship Eight at the Head of the Charles, and seven seat in the second varsity eight that placed third at the Head of the Fish.
2011-12: Competed as a member of the novice/third varsity eight that placed third at the BIG EAST Championship; finished the season in five seat.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended East Lyme High School ... earned three varsity letters as a member of the soccer team and was team captain ... was All ECC and All State ... earned four varsity letters as a member of the track team and was team captain.
PERSONAL: Kendra Christine Kohanski ... political science major with minor in English ... born on July 20, 1990.
PLANS AFTER GRADUATION: 'When I graduate I am going to graduate school for political science.'
KOHANSKI ON ROWING AT UCONN: 'Although I have only been on the team for two years, I wish I could have had two more years. Rowing is unlike any other sport I have been a part of, it is more demanding physically and mentally, but the rewards of winning a race, setting a personal record or just having a good practice are even greater. Your coaches and teammates push you every single practice and individual piece to give your best and they expect nothing less. Being a part of this team during my time at UConn has been an unforgettable experience.'
