Strong Finishes for Huskies at Head of the Schuylkill

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Huskies delivered another strong team performance at the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta this weekend, posting top finishes across multiple events on the Schuylkill River.

Leading the way was the Women's Club 8+, where the Huskies' IX crew powered to a third-place finish in a deep 54-boat field. The Women's Frosh 8+ boat, Radenka, also impressed, earning second place out of 19 entries and continuing a strong debut season for the first-year athletes.

The Huskies showed depth across the board in the Club 4+ event, with the "A" boat placing 10th, "B" boat close behind in 11th, and "C" boat rounding out a strong team effort in 16th among 56 entries.

"It was another successful day of racing in each event," said head coach Jennifer Sanford. "We had a solid week of practice, and each boat executed a race that reflected the work they put in this week. We raced mixed lineups, and I'm really happy with how everyone finished. Next week we will go back to traditional lineups as we finish our season at the Heart of the Housatonic."

The Huskies return to the water next Friday, November 1, for the Heart of the Housatonic Regatta in Shelton, Conn., to close out their fall season.
