Divers Place At 2001 UCLA Bruin Invite

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The University of Connecticut men's and women's diving team placed among the nation's top divers at the 2001 UCLA Bruin Invite Friday afternoon in Los Angeles.
Sophomore Melissa Kull (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) finished sixth in the women's three-meter diving finals scoring 418.60 points.
On the men's side, sophomore Kevin McKinney (Mt. Laurel, N.J.) placed ninth with 191.75 points and freshman Chase Dunlap (Canandaigua, N.Y.) finished 10th with 187.25 points.
The Huskies competed against divers from host UCLA, Southern Cal, Hawai'i, UC Davis, UC Irvine, Kansas and San Jose State.
Connecticut wraps up its winter training trip to Puerto Rico Jan. 5-21 and will next face BIG EAST Conference rival Syracuse on Saturday, Jan. 27 at noon.
