Women's Ice Hockey Falls To Boston, 11-3

STORRS, Conn - The University of Connecticut women's ice hockey team dropped an 11-3 decision to Boston University on Friday night (Jan. 26) in exhibition play at the UConn Ice Arena in Storrs.
UConn's Hollie Stephens (Wethersfield, CT) recorded a hat trick in the Huskies losing effort. Lisa Hartmayer (Darien, CT) was credited with an assist on the second goal, while Michelle Zuba (New Milford, CT) received one on the final goal.
Liz Peitzman tallied three goals and one assist for Boston University. Jillian Jakuba nailed two goals and one assists, while Jen Elliot and Heather Coubrough each scored one goal and two assists apiece.
Diana Cohen (South Salem, NY) stopped 30 shots on net, while Amy Levine recorded 9 saves. BU outshot Connecticut, 41-12.
Connecticut will play at Quinnipiac University on Wednesday, January 31 at 5:00 p.m. at the Northford Ice Pavilion in Northford, CT.
