Huskies Compete in the Head of the Housatonic

Shelton, CT (October 6) – The Novice Four crew of the University of Connecticut women’s rowing team placed first at the Head of the Housatonic in Shelton, CT on Saturday afternoon.
The Novice Four finished the race in a time of 22:30 beating six other boats that competed. The Varsity Four crew finished 13th of 23 boats ending in a time of 22:58. Yale won the race in a time of 18:48.
The Varisty and Junior Varsity Eight crews competed in the Open Eight race with 22 crews. Yale topped the group finishing in a time of 12:42.46, while the Varsity Crew finished 6th (14:34.54) and the Junior Varsity Crew finished 15th (15:52.37).
UConn will compete tomorrow in the Head of the Connecticut in Middletown, CT.
