Taurasi shares the honor with Kate Bulger of West Virginia.
Taurasi opened last week by shooting a perfect 5-for-5 from the field, including four three-pointers, in a 88-38 victory over Wake Forest last Monday night. She finished with 14 points, which co-lead the team, and also chipped in five assists, three rebounds and a block against the Demon Deacons.
Against Ball State on Nov. 30, Taurasi notched her first double-double of the season with 17 points and a career-high 12 assists. She also added seven rebounds, two blocks and two steals in the 103-69 victory.
Taurasi is UConn’s second BIG EAST Player of the Week selection in 2001-02. Senior Swin Cash (McKeesport, PA) was also named Co-BIG EAST Player of the Week for Nov. 19.
