Connecticut Golfers 18th at Ironwood Intercollegiate

Leading UConn at the three-day event are juniors Kevin O'Connor (East Lyme, Conn.) and Sean Vigue (Lebanon, Conn.). O'Connor scored the team's lowest round thus far at Ironwood with a 6-over-par 78 on the first day and added a round of 79 Monday for an overall 157 to tie for 54th. Vigue stands tied for 59th with two rounds of 79 to put him at 158.
Justin Kolumber of Georgia Southern and Sean Dougherty of UNC-Wilmington currently lead the pack with a 1-under-par 143. In team competition, Furman University holds a four shot lead over the 19-team field with two day totals of 294- 299--593.
Connecticut concludes tournament play tomorrow at the East Carolina University hosted tournament.
