Rowing Races in Knect Cup Finals

The Novice 4 squad finished in second place in their heat, only to be topped by Delaware. Layola, Fordham, LaSalle and Dowling finished behind the Huskies in the respective order. Times were not officially recorded for the race due to a boat tipping over during the event.
The Varsity 8 team had a fifth place finish in the six-team field. Navy held the top position (6:59.0), followed by Boston College (7:01.0), Delaware (7:16.1), Fairfield (7:22.6), Connecticut (7:26.6) and Army (7:28.9).
UConn will travel to the University of Massachusetts to compete against the Minutewomen, Boston College and Delaware on Saturday, April 7 in Amherst, MA. The race was originally scheduled to be held at Coventry Lake and hosted by the University of Connecticut, but had to be moved due to bad conditions on the lake.
