UConn Women's Tennis Drops To Wesleyan

In the top singles positions, sophomores Trinell Russel (Voorheesville, N.Y.) and Colleen Connors (Ormond Beach, Fla.) claimed the Huskies' two victories of the day. Russel defeated Nina Zeitlin in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3, at No. 1, while Connors defeated Allison Rovner in three-sets, 6-4, 2-6, 7-6, at No. 2.
Connecticut (9-9 overall, 1-2 BIG EAST) next hosts Seton Hall in a BIG EAST dual match on Friday, April 13 at noon, before ending the regular season on Saturday, April 17 versus Villanova at noon in Storrs.
Note: The Huskies' match against St. John's tomorrow will not be played or rescheduled for a later date.
