UConn Falls to UNH in Rowing

STORRS, CT (April 13) - The University of Connecticut women's rowing team fell to the University of New Hampshire at Coventry Lake on Friday morning.
UNH rowed two squads in the Novice Eight race capturing first (7:00.16) and second place (7:10.09) with UConn placing third in a time of 7:12.94. The Varsity Eight squad finished second in a time of 6:46.14, behind New Hampshire (6:44.35). Connecticut also placed second behind the Wildcats in the Junior Varsity Eight race. The Huskies came in a time of 7:13.64, while UNH finished in 7:04.03.
The Novice Four race was an exhibition heat between the UConn A and B squads. UConn A placed first in a time of 7:53.69, and UConn B finished in a time of 8:09.38.
Connecticut will race against Fairfield University and Rhode Island in Kingston, RI on April 21.
