Huskies Help Out for the Holidays

Rockville, CT (Friday, Dec. 13) -- The University of Connecticut's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) assisted with a Christmas party held for underprivileged children at The Cornerstone in Rockville, CT, on Friday, Dec. 13.
The Cornerstone is an establishment whose mission is to provide emergency shelter, assist in the prevention of homelessness, and provide follow-up support and services to individuals, couples and families in order to ensure a successful re-entry into the community. The SAAC and the Tri-Town Shelter donated funds and gifts for the event.
Juniors Maria Conlon and Ashley Battle of the nationally-ranked University of Connecticut women's basketball team attended the event and visited with the children and parents.
