Win Over Villanova Gives Huskies Sixth-Straight BIG EAST Win

VILLANOVA, PA (April 13, 2002) - The University of Connecticut women’s tennis team picked up its sixth-straight BIG EAST win on Saturday morning as it defeated Villanova, 6-1.
With the win, the Huskies move to 14-5 overall and 6-2 in the BIG EAST.
Villanova was able to take only one match from the Huskies, due to an injury to No. 5 singles player Jen LoRusso (Shoreham, NY).
