Softball Holds Second-Annual Strike Out Cancer Day

The University of Connecticut softball team will be sponsoring its second-annual Strike Out Cancer Day on Saturday, April 20, in conjunction with its BIG EAST doubleheader against Providence.
The event will include a silent auction of sports memorabilia donated by the UConn men's basketball team, Boston Red Sox, New York Mets, Milwaukee Bucks, the BIG EAST Conference, 2002 Super Bowl Champions New England Patriots, the 2002 NCAA Champion UConn women's basketball team and more. Items to be auctioned can be bid on starting at noon on Saturday and continuing through the start of the second game. Winners will be announced during the second.
In addition, for a $5 donation to the American Canter Society, fans can receive a Strike Out Cancer t-shirt and raffle ticket.
