UConn Takes Three From Rutgers

RUTGERS, NJ (April 6) – The University of Connecticut women’s rowing team took three-of-four races from BIG EAST rival Rutgers University on Saturday afternoon in Piscataway, NJ.
The Varsity Eight squad took first place in their race in a time of 6:54.39. Rutgers placed second right behind UConn in a time of 6:55.18. The second Varsity race, also saw a first place finish for Connecticut (7:22.70), in front of Rutgers (7:23.10).
The UConn Novice Eight boat finished behind Rutgers (7:27.77), in a time of 7:29.39. The last race Varsity race of the day placed the Huskies in first, finishing in a time of 7:20.06. Rutgers was second ending in a time of 7:37.59.
The Huskies host Boston College at Coventry Lake on Sunday, April 7.
