D'Angelo is the fourth Husky to recieve honors on the BIG EAST All-Rookie Team
ROANOKE, VA (May 10, 2002) - Freshman Jen D’Angelo (Wyomissing, PA) of the University of Connecticut softball team was named to the BIG EAST All-Rookie team, it was announced by the conference office Thursday evening.
D’Angelo led the Huskies this season in batting average (.250), RBI (10) and was second in doubles (4), triples (1) and total hits (35). She was the only Husky to record a three-RBI game and had eight multi-hit games on the season. She also held the second-longest hitting streak of the season at six games. She also started all 49 games for UConn in left field, and committed only two errors on the season.
