The University of Connecticut men's and women's swimming and diving team will host BIG EAST rival West Virginia for "Senior Day" on Sat., Feb. 1, at 1:00 p.m. at the Wolff-Zackin Natatorium in Storrs, CT. UConn will honor three men and four women seniors Saturday before the dual.
The Huskies are coming off a great performance at Syracuse last weekend. It was the first time in program history that both the men's and women's team won at Syracuse. UConn received outstanding individual performances in numerous events as they took home 18 first place finishes between the two teams.
The seniors that will be honored on Saturday are swimmers Marshal Livingstone, Craig Orski, Kate Larson, Kelly Bergkessel and Michal Rinkevich, along with divers Kevin McKinney and Melissa Kull. These seven seniors have been leaders both in and out of the pool. Livingstone is the record holder in the 200 freestyle and a member, along with Orski of the record 800 freestyle relay team. Larson is the record holder in both the 100 and 200 breaststroke, the 200 individual medley and a member of the record holding 400 yard medley relay. Kull holds the school record in both the six attempt one-meter diving and the 10 attempt three-meter diving events.
