Huskies to Host No. 12 Notre Dame on Saturday

The Connecticut men’s soccer team looks for the upset and to improve on its 3-2-2 BIG EAST record on Saturday night against conference rival No. 12 nationally-ranked Notre Dame. Game time is set for 7:00 pm at Morrone Stadium in Storrs. The Huskies hold an overall record of 5-6-2, while the Irish are 8-2-3 overall, 5-2-1 in the conference.
The Huskies were No. 1 in the nation for the 2002 season in average home attendance and total home attendance records, as recorded by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) office. For the last four of five seasons, the Huskies have led the nation in total home attendance. UConn hopes to keep the record alive in 2003, setting new standards in college soccer attendance. So far in 2003 after seven games player, Connecticut has a total home attendance of 18,100, an average of 2,586.
