UConn Men's Swimming and Diving Sweeps BU

BOSTON, MA (Nov. 15) - The University of Connecticut’s men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams posted victories over Boston University on Saturday afternoon. The men won by a 167-127 tally to up their seasonal record to 5-1 while the Husky women won by a 163.5-125.5 score to improve to 4-2.
Amongst the top performances on the men’s side was Bobby Folan setting a new BU pool record with a 1:52.40 in the 200 backstroke, Tristan Jones winning the 200 breaststroke in 2:09.38 and David Cohen taking the 200 butterfly in 1:56.21.
Alisha Lee highlighted the women’s results by recording a score of 258.2 in the one-meter diving event to qualify for the NCAA Zones in March. Lindsay Hansen was a double winner, taking the 200 freestyle in 1:55.4 and the 100 butterfly in 1:00.4. Jennifer Chang won the 1000 freestyle in 10:40.
The Huskies get back in the water next weekend when they head to suburban Washington, DC for the Maryland Invitational in College Park, Md.
