Men's Golf Finishes 18th at Bradford Creek Intercollegiate

GREENVILLE, NC (March 29) – The University of Connecticut men’s golf team shot a 319 on Saturday in the final round of the Bradford Creek Intercollegiate, hosted by East Carolina University at the par-72 Bradford Creek Golf Club in Greenville, N.C. With their three-round score of 950, the Huskies placed 18th out of the 18 schools competing at ECU. UNC-Wilmington won the event by a single stroke, outdistancing Coastal Carolina 881 to 882.
Mike Murphy shot a 73 on Saturday, UConn’s lowest round of the spring season, to wrap up the tournament at 229 (+13) and tie for 40th overall and first amongst Huskies. Justin Ciombor was second for UConn, and tied for 78th overall with a 239 (+23), followed by Daniel Keefe with a 240 (+24), Anthony Hrenko with a 242 (+83) and Nathan Thomsen with a 250 (+34) to round out the UConn golfers.
The Huskies will return to action with their first Northeastern action of the spring on April 4-6 when they compete at the Yale Spring Invitational in New Haven.
