Women's Basketball 'Super Show' Slated For Oct. 16

STORRS, Conn. (October 4, 2004) — The three-time defending national champion University of Connecticut women’s basketball team will officially get the 2004-05 season underway with its annual ‘Super Show’ on Saturday, Oct. 16 at Gampel Pavilion. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. (ET).
Highlighting the festivities will be the unveiling of the 2004 NCAA Championship Banner and a video tribute featuring highlights from last season’s run by the Huskies to a third-straight national crown.
The 2003-04 National Championship Banner will also be unveiled at the Huskies’ first regular season game on Friday, Nov. 19 vs. Buffalo.
The ‘Super Show’ will also include an intra-squad scrimmage which will feature the varsity members of the Connecticut women’s basketball team and some the the team’s male practice players.
Following the scrimmage, the team will be available for an autograph session with the fans.
